Wilson Creek HOA-3 DX 40/20/17 Meter 52 Ft Dipole
WILSON CREEK HOA-3 DX ANTENNASpecifications: Assembled Wire Antenna: Antenna Type: Multi-band, coaxial trap dipole resonantAntenna in the middle of 3 bands. Power Rating: 1,000 W, Maximum Wire Antenna Length: 52.00 ft.Antenna Tuner not required but can be used if one deviates from the resonant frequency. FeedlineConnection Type: UHF female, SO-239; Recommended Feedpoint Height: 35 ft.Antenna can be used as a flat top dipole or an inverted vee configuaration. Both will yield goodresults. We recommend a good earth ground and a 50 ohm feedline 75 to 100ft for best results. This antenna works and fits really well on city lots and RV parks. TUNING INSTRUCTIONS WILSON HOA DXThe Wilson Creek Classic comes pre-tuned for 7,2, 14.2., and 18.150 Mhz. However ,many Hamsprefer to customize their antennas to favor certain portions of the band. In some cases the antennamay have to be adjusted to compensate for location and or localized interactions from nearby objects. Here is how it is done: To raise the resonant frequency on 20 meters you will have to remove some ofthe wire at point A on the drawing. You should not have to remove but approx 1-3 inches of wire. This will raise the resonant frequency from the 14.2 Mhz to approx 14.3 or 14.35. Should you want tolower the resonant frequency you will need to add wire at point A on the drawing.***Note*** Removing some of the wire at point A on the drawing will also raisethe resonant frequency on 40 meters. If needed, you can add wire at point B on the drawing and thiswill in effect lower the 40 meter point of resonance. You can also raise the resonant frequency on 40meters by removing wire at point B. It will have no effect on adjustments on 40 meters.17 meters should really need no adjustment however if it can be adjusted by adding or reducing it’slength. This is done at point C on the drawing. Add or reduce it’s length by no more than 1 inch at atime.Remember: To raise the point of resonance you shorten the antenna length. ToLower the point of resonance you lengthen the antenna.
