Wilson Creek Classic The "Wilson Creek Classic" which covers 80/40/20 meters and is pre-tuned for 3.85, 7.225, and 14.250 Mhz. It is only 98 ft long and will handle legal limit of power. Works well with 75 or 52 ohm feed line between 75 and 100ft long. Made in Texas   WILSON CREEK CLASSIC :Specifications: Assembled Wire Antenna: Antenna Type: Multi-band,coaxial trap dipole resonant Antenna; Power Rating: 1,500 W, MaximumWire Antenna Length: 98.00 ft. Antenna Tuner not required by can be used:Feedline Connection Type: UHF female, SO-239; RecommendedFeedpoint Height: 35 ft.Antenna can be used as a flat top dipole or an inverted veeconfiguaration. Both will yield good results. We recommend a goodearth ground and a 50 ohm feedline for best results.   TUNING INSTRUCTIONS WILSON CRK CLASSICThe Wilson Creek Classic comes pre-tuned for 3.8, 7.2, and 14.25 Mhz. However, many Hams prefer to customize their antennas to favor certain portions of theband. In some cases the antenna may have to be adjusted to compensate forlocation and or localized interactions from nearby objects. Here is how it is done: To raise the resonant frequency on 40 meters you willhave to remove some of the wire at point A on the drawing. You should not haveto remove but approx 3-6 inches of wire. This will raise the resonant frequencyfrom the 7.2 Mhz to approx 7.250 or 7.275. Should you want to lower theresonant frequency you will need to add wire at point A on the drawing.***Note*** Removing some of the wire at point A on the drawing will also raisethe resonant frequency on 80 meters. If needed, you can add wire at point B onthe drawing and this will in effect lower the 80 meter point of resonance. You canalso raise the resonant frequency on 80 meters by removing wire at point B. Itwill have no effect on adjustments on 40 meters.20 meters should really need no adjustment however if it can be adjusted byadding or reducing it’s length. This is done at point C on the drawing. Add orreduce it’s length by no more than 1 inch at a time.Remember: To raise the point of resonance you shorten the antenna length. ToLower the point of resonance you lengthen the antenna.
